Survey for the Electorate of Bankstown (NSW)

Survey for the Electorate of Bankstown (NSW)

This survey has been developed to better understand the views of residents in the NSW electorate of Bankstown regarding the performance and representation of the local Member of Parliament, Jihad Dib.

The purpose

The purpose of the survey is to provide community members with an opportunity to share their perspectives on issues that matter to them locally, including representation, policy priorities, and whether their concerns are being adequately reflected in political decision-making.

Why are we doing this?

The Muslim Vote is undertaking this survey to gather meaningful information about community sentiment, identify gaps between community expectations and political representation, and better understand the issues residents believe require greater attention. As we move toward the next New South Wales state election, conducting this exercise is particularly important, as it allows for an honest assessment of how the community currently views its representation and what priorities people expect to see addressed moving forward.

Why it matters

Collecting this information is critical for strengthening community voice and leverage. When communities are organised and informed about their collective views, they are better positioned to ensure that their concerns are taken seriously by elected officials. This survey is part of a broader effort to ensure that the voices of local residents are heard clearly, that community priorities are documented, and that political representatives remain accountable to the people they serve. As we approach the New South Wales state election in 2027, The Muslim Vote is seeking to better understand these views as part of its broader efforts to ensure that community concerns are clearly documented and that meaningful change can be pursued through the ballot box
